I am a presence, a force determined to fulfill my existence.  Acting started as an outlet and has now become an undeniable passion.

My father was born in Guyana and moved to Canada when he was Eighteen years of age; my mother was born in Detroit, Michigan and moved to Canada when she met my father.   After marriage came a set of twins named Shanna & JaNae Armogan whom both became dual citizens (Canadian & American).

I have dabbled in other things in my life such as broadcasting, in which has helped shape me with the confidence to try other things. For example, singing. Singing gave me that stage rush experience which was first truly inspired from a performance I had done at the Hard Rock Café as a lead vocalist with a live band.  The confidence from that moment continued into a momentum in which guided me and opened the door to modeling.  I started my modelling path taking baby steps and starting small with Local pageants which then lead to giving me the opportunity to be competing in, ‘Miss Universe Canada’. At that moment I successfully made the top 20 but did not progress further.  Disappointed, I never gave up. Shortly after another door opened for me and I was given the opportunity to represent Canada in the Top Model of The World 2010 pageant that was held in Germany. I was then awarded for Best Body.  I was always eager to learn more about the entertainment industry and went to School for different subjects in that field in order to explore what could potentially be another interest (Entertainment Business Management, Novel Study, Radio & Television Broadcasting). But nothing affected me and motivated me like Acting.

My interest for acting was introduced when I auditioned for a short film in 2011.  In the beginning I would accept or audition for any role that I was offered but as I grew emotionally, and intellectually my choices became more specific.  It is important that in order for me to grow that I would always be tested and challenged. I began auditioning for roles that required more of me, more of my time and my mind. Testing, confronting, sharpening my skill set and always wanting to continue to learn more keeps me hungry and humbled at the same time. The reward of taking someone else’s vision and bringing it to life is so much bigger than I can truly explain.

Life is what you make it.  I’ve always been a fan of motivational and inspiring quotes.  One of my many favorites is quoted by Mahatma Ghandi, “Whatever you do will be insignificant, but it is important that you do it.”  I believe that the world is and always will be bigger than us, your actions will always have an impact whether you live to see it or not.  This quote keeps me motivated, inspired, and driven, to have such an impact on the world so that I’m remembered not only by my friends and family after I’m gone, but to be remembered by all.
